Tom & Jennifer

After experiencing favourable seasonal conditions and securing an additional lease property Tom & Jennifer approached Legacy Livestock for finance to purchase trading livestock to optimise returns from available pasture.

Tom & Jennifer already had finance arrangements in place for their breeding cows and bulls with a different livestock finance provider. They mentioned they were concerned the repayment structure did not align with their business needs in the longer term and asked Legacy Livestock to also review the finance arrangements they had in place for the breeding cows.

One of Legacy Livestock’s Regional Managers sat down with the Tom & Jennifer and took the time to learn about their business, cash flow cycle, and their future goals and aspirations.

Upon review Legacy Livestock found that the funding enabled Tom & Jennifer to secure a line of high-quality Angus cows joined to exceptional bulls. A great fit for with their future growth plans. However, the funding term was too short, and the repayment structure did not align with their business cash flow cycle. If left unchanged it would cause cash flow issues in the future that could compromise other aspects of Tom & Jennifer’s business.
From those conversations Legacy Livestock put in place a finance solution that aligned with Tom & Jennifer’s business needs and would support their future growth plans.

The result was a more flexible, practical, and supportive financing arrangement — one built not just on numbers, but on a deep understanding of their business and their growth plans.

At Legacy Livestock, this is what we do best: genuine conversations, real insight, and finance solutions that work for the people behind the livestock.
