Jim & Amy

For Jim and Amy, a strong season created an opportunity to transition a significant area of productive irrigated country in the Riverina from broadacre cropping into an intensive livestock grazing program, making greater use of their existing land, water and infrastructure.
Legacy Livestock undertook a farm visit to understand their longer-term goals, proposed livestock strategy and approach to management. Timing was also important — the cattle market presented an attractive buying opportunity, so being able to assess, structure and execute the funding within a short timeframe was critical in allowing Jim and Amy to act while those market conditions remained favourable.

It is a good example of how specialist livestock finance, combined with practical engagement and speed to market, can help an established farming business capitalise on seasonal and market opportunities while maximising the productive potential of its assets.
